Section 1592 - Lease or sale to United States; condition

The Department of Property and Supplies, with the approval of the Governor, is authorized to lease to the United States Government any and all of the property of the Commonwealth used in connection with said quarantine station. The Department of Property and Supplies, with the approval of the Governor, is authorized to enter into agreements with the proper authorities of the United States Government providing for the ascertainment, by appraisement or otherwise, of the value of the property of the Commonwealth now used in connection with the State quarantine station at Marcus Hook, and to provide for the sale of such property to the United States Government. The Department is authorized to execute the necessary deed or deeds providing for the conveyance of such real estate of the Commonwealth to the United States Government upon the payment into the treasury of the Commonwealth of the consideration agreed upon.

No lease or sale of the said real estate shall be executed by the said Department unless there is contained in the contract of lease or sale a stipulation whereby the United States Government agrees to use the Marcus Hook Station as a place of inspection.
