The secretary is authorized to destroy all records of the institution of which he was in possession as receiver, and all records of such receivership, at the expiration of six years from the date of the absolute confirmation of his final account, except where any provision of this act, expressly or impliedly, provides a different method for the disposition of the records or a longer period for their preservation.
