Section 544 - Alcoholism (Adm. Code Section 2114)The Department of Health shall have the power, and its duty shall be:
(a) To investigate the subject of alcoholism in respect to rehabilitation and compile and maintain reliable statistics indicating the effectiveness of any rehabilitation programs carried forward by State-aided clinics for alcoholics, State hospitals and State-aided hospitals receiving alcoholics;(b) To take such other steps as may be necessary to procure such information and data as may be deemed helpful in the treatment and rehabilitation of alcoholics.1929, April 9, P.L. 177, art.
