Section 456.522 - Civil liability(a) Damages for material violations.--If a lender purposefully engages in a pattern or practice of material violations of this chapter, an obligor on a covered loan may initiate a civil action to recover damages.(b) Exclusive remedies.--The remedies provided in this subchapter shall be the sole and exclusive remedies for any violation of any provision of this chapter. Persons engaged in the purchase, sale, assignment, securitization or servicing of covered loans shall not be held liable for the action or inactions of persons originating such loans.1989, Dec. 22, P.L. 687, No. 90, § 522, added 2001, June 25, P.L. 621, No. 55, § 8, effective in 1 year.
