Section 209 - Consent to care in a public institution
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person, public official, corporation, association or institution to bring or send or cause to be brought or sent into the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania an inmate of any public institution outside of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the purpose of placing such inmate in any public institution administered or supervised by the department, without first obtaining the written consent of the department.
(b) Any person who shall violate the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100), or undergo imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or both.
