Section 58040 - Right of acquisition of forest lands

A township may acquire by purchase, gift or lease tracts of land covered with forest or tree growth or suitable for the growth of trees for the benefit of the township, and administer the tracts in accordance with the practices and principles of scientific forestry. The tracts may be of any size suitable for the purpose and may be located within or without the township limits.
