Section 56579.7 - Fire protectionThe board of commissioners may:
(1) Appropriate money for the use of the township or to fire companies providing fire protection to the township for the purchase, operation and maintenance of fire engines and fire apparatus and for the construction, repair and maintenance of fire stations.(2) Contract with or make grants to near or adjacent municipal corporations or volunteer fire companies for fire protection in the township.(3) By ordinance or resolution, make rules and regulations for the government of fire companies providing fire protection to the township and their officers.1931, June 24, P.L. 1206, No. 331, art.
