Section 56579.1 - Officers, positions and departments(a) The board of commissioners may create any office, position or department which the board may deem necessary for the good of government and interests of the township and may fix the compensation of appointed individuals.(b) The board of commissioners may provide for and regulate the manner of hiring and discharging employes and the fixing of salaries or compensation, consistent with applicable Federal and State law.1931, June 24, P.L. 1206, No. 331, art.
