Section 13379 - Penalty for refusal to testify

Any person or persons who are or shall be in contempt by reason of failure or refusal to so appear to testify, shall be held and deemed to be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be punished by imprisonment not exceeding six months, and by fine not exceeding one thousand dollars, or either, at the discretion of the court trying the same.
