53 Pa. Stat. § 4545

Current through P.A. Acts 2023-32
Section 4545 - Certificate not to be transferred; surrender; posting and display of license; revocation and reissue

The license certificate shall be furnished by the director of public safety, and shall be printed in a suitable manner. Such license shall not be used by any other than the person to whom it is issued, or at any place other than that designated in the certificate, and shall not be transferred or assigned to any other person. If a person holding a license certificate, authorizing him to conduct an employment agency under the provisions of this act, against whom no complaint, prosecution, or action is pending on account of any violation thereof, shall voluntarily surrender such license certificate, provided it has at least one month to run, the director of public safety shall refund to the person the sum of four dollars for each month which the certificate has yet to run, commencing with the first day of the month succeeding the one in which said license certificate is surrendered, unless such surrender be on the first day of the month. Every licensed person shall post his license certificate in a conspicuous place in his agency. If for any cause, as hereinafter provided in sections nine, ten, and eleven, such license is revoked, the director of public safety shall not issue another license to said person, to his representative, to his agent, or to any person with whom he is to be associated in the employment agency business. Whenever such license is revoked for violation of other provisions of this act, the director of public safety may, in his discretion, reissue a license, but not within a period of six months.
