Section 124 - Receipt and distribution of stationery by chief clerks; accounts; reports; return of unused stationery

The chief clerks of the senate and house of representatives shall receive from the said librarian, for themselves, for the resident clerk of the house of representatives, and their assistants, and shall also deliver to the chairmen of the various committees, to the librarian of the senate, and to the clerks in the transcribing rooms, to the superintendent of the folding room of the senate and house, the amount of stationery required for use in their respective offices during each session of the legislature; said chief clerks shall keep accurate accounts of the same, and also of the quantity and value of that used in their own offices, and shall make report, under oath or affirmation, after the adjournment of each session, to the board of public buildings and grounds, in which reports shall be stated accurately and distinctly the quantity and costs of all the stationery delivered to the officers above specified; and the amount, quality and kind of stationery remaining in their respective hands, and not used at the end of each session, shall be returned by the chief clerks of the senate and house of representatives to the said board of public buildings and grounds, who shall give a receipt therefor to the said clerks.
