(a) General rule.--(1) Except as set forth in subsection (b), this chapter is in pari materia with: (i) the act of October 5, 1978 (P.L. 1109, No. 261), known as the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act; and(ii) the act of December 20, 1985 (P.L. 457, No. 112) , known as the Medical Practice Act of 1985.(2) No duplication of procedure is required between this chapter and either: (i) the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act; or(ii) the Medical Practice Act of 1985.(b) Conflict.--This chapter shall prevail if there is a conflict between this chapter and either:(1) the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act; or(2) the Medical Practice Act of 1985. 2002, March 20, P.L. 154, No. 13, § 901, effective in 60 days.
