Section 934 - Certificate to do business

Upon the filing of the documents hereinbefore specified, the Insurance Commissioner shall examine the same, and, if it shall appear that all the statements made in the said declaration are true and that the rights of the policyholders will be protected thereunder, he may issue a certificate of authority to such underwriters, under the name chosen and approved, stating that they are authorized to transact the business of insurance specified in said declaration. Such certificate of authority shall be renewed annually; and no underwriter, attorney-in-fact, agent, or other person shall transact the business of insurance in this Commonwealth for such underwriters until such certificate has been issued, nor during its suspension or revocation.
