Section 2627 - Requirements for disapproval or decertification of voting apparatuses.
(a) The Commonwealth may not disapprove or decertify a voting apparatus in fifty per centum (50%) or more counties until the requirements of this section have been met.
(b) If the Commonwealth intends to make a disapproval or decertification under subsection (a), the Department of State must submit a written plan to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Appropriations Committee of the Senate, the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives, the State Government Committee of the Senate and the State Government Committee of the House of Representatives at least one hundred eighty (180) days prior to the effective date of the replacement voting apparatuses, containing all of the following information:
(1) The reason for the disapproval or decertification.
(2) The estimated cost to replace the disapproved or decertified voting apparatus and the plan for how funding will be obtained to cover the estimated cost.
(3) A plan for replacing the disapproved or decertified voting apparatus.
(4) The effective date of the replacement voting apparatus.
(c) As used in this section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this subsection unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

"Electronic voting system" shall have the meaning given to the term in section 1101-A.

"Voting apparatus" shall mean a kind or type of electronic voting system that received the approval of the Secretary of the Commonwealth under section 1105-A.
