24 Pa. Stat. § 7903
The following words and phrases when used in this act shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Department." The Department of Education of the Commonwealth.
"Intermediate unit." An intermediate unit established under Article IX-A of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949.
"MVP volunteer." An individual who is approved to participate in the program.
"Older adult." An individual who is 55 years of age or older.
"Program" or "MVP." The Older Adult Mentor Volunteer Program established in section 4.
"School entity." A school district, charter school, cyber charter school, regional charter school or area career and technical school.
"State board." The State Board of Education.
