Section 19-1903-F - Duties of departmentThe department shall have the following powers and duties:
(1) Establish guidelines and standards necessary to implement this article. Such guidelines shall include the identification of approved fields of study and a process for considering requests for approval of fields of study that are not listed and that meet criteria established by the department, eligibility requirements, designated educationally underserved areas, a description of program requirements and limitations and funding information.(2) Establish the process through which eligible applicants may apply for grant funds, including the identification of required and allowable grant uses, the criteria used to approve programs, annual limits on student tuition and fees and limits on enrollment eligible for State funding.(3) Perform all other functions necessary to carry out this article, including the monitoring and reporting of approved programs and student outcomes.1949, March 10, P.L. 30, No. 14, art.
