All the acts and acknowledgments of deeds, mortgages and other instruments of writing, made in good faith, and in the regular course of business, by the several justices of the peace, in boroughs incorporated under the act of third April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-one, or accepting its provisions, and divided into wards under the act of fourteenth May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, and elected as ward justices in said boroughs, shall be taken and accepted as valid and good in law.
