In counties of the first class, the real estate deputy shall receive seven thousand five hundred dollars per annum; in counties of the second class, six thousand dollars per annum; and in counties of the third class, four thousand dollars per annum; which salaries shall be paid by said counties in the same manner as the salaries of other deputies are payable.
