Section 5511 - Sale of personal property; demolition and removal of county buildings
(a)
(1) The county commissioners may sell at private sale any county owned personal property valued by the controller at not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or at public sale, under conditions prescribed by the commissioners, any county owned personal property valued in excess of that amount.
(2) The provisions of this section shall be construed to allow:
(i) County property to be traded in or exchanged for new personal property.
(ii) The sale of personal property with real property as a single unit.
(b) Whenever any county owned building is deemed by the county commissioners to be no longer suitable for use by the county, they may cause it to be demolished or removed from its location by such means or in such manner as they deem to be in the public interest.
