Section 4925 - Power of subpoena and attachment

The controller shall have power to issue subpoenas to obtain the attendance of the officers whose accounts they are required to adjust, their executors and administrators, and of any person whom it may be necessary to examine as witnesses, and to compel their attendance by attachment, in like manner and to the same extent as any court of common pleas of this State may or can do in cases pending before them, and also to compel in like manner the production of all books, vouchers and papers relative to such accounts. Such subpoena and attachment shall be served and executed by the sheriff or coroner of the county, as the case may require.
