Every sheriff and every coroner acting as sheriff shall provide and keep in his office a book or books in which he shall enter all writs that may come to him and the proceedings thereon, and at the expiration of his term of office, such book or books shall be deposited in the office of the prothonotary, for the inspection of all person interested therein.
