Section 2311 - Disposing of county property for other uses; demolition

(a) Whenever the commissioners find that an existing county building is no longer suitable for its original purpose, or where the county has acquired or received an interest in real property which the commissioners find is not suitable for the use of the county, the commissioners may do any of the following:
(1) Devote the real property to another public purpose.
(2) Convey by sale or gift the real property to a public or charitable institution.
(3) Convey by sale or gift the real property to a political subdivision within the county.
(4) Demolish or relocate the building.
(b) For the purposes of this section, the commissioners may convey, on behalf of the county, any interest in real property to one or more parties authorized by this section in single or concurrent ownership.
(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of Article XVIII, the county may convey personal property together with an interest in real property for the purposes of this section.
(d) Nothing in this section shall supersede the procedures or limitations on the disposition of county property imposed by law.
