Section 1999a - Appropriations to institutions of higher learning or to nonprofit educational trusts

The board of commissioners of any county may appropriate from time to time moneys from county funds in such amounts as may be deemed necessary to any nonsectarian institution of higher learning within such county or to any nonprofit educational trust created for the purpose of constructing or maintaining facilities for Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education universities and State-related universities, including the Pennsylvania State University, Lincoln University, Temple University and the University of Pittsburgh, within such county to assist the institution or trust in the financing of the functions specified by the board of commissioners.
