Section 1938 - Suppression of animal and plant disease

The board of commissioners is hereby authorized to make appropriations from county funds for the purpose of controlling and suppressing dangerous transmissible diseases of domestic animals and dangerous plant diseases and insect pests and diseases to honeybees, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture of Pennsylvania.

For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this section, the board of county commissioners may enter into agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture concerning terms, rules, regulations and practices for conducting the work.
