Section 803.219 - Limitation on car rental fees(1) As used in this section:(a) "Car rental company" means a person whose primary business is renting motor vehicles to consumers under rental agreements for periods of 90 days or less.(b) "Motor vehicle" has the meaning given that term in ORS 801.360.(2) A car rental company may not impose in a rental agreement a surcharge for the purpose of covering the costs of titling and registering a rental motor vehicle that is greater than the amount reasonably calculated to cover the costs incurred by the car rental company to title and register the rental motor vehicle.803.219 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 803 or any series therein by legislative action.
