Section 731.097 - "Essential health benefits." "Essential health benefits" are the items and services prescribed by the Department of Consumer and Business Services by rule in accordance with federal law, including:
(1) Ambulatory patient services.(4) Maternity and newborn care.(5) Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment.(7) Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices.(9) Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management.(10) Pediatric services, including oral and vision care.731.097 and 731.098 were added to and made a part of 731.004 to 731.150 by legislative action but were not added to any smaller series therein.
