Section 659A.NEW - [Newly enacted section not yet numbered] [Operative 7/1/2024](1) In addition to the 12 weeks of family leave authorized by ORS 659A.162 (1), an eligible employee is entitled to a total of two weeks of leave to effectuate the legal process required for placement of a foster child or the adoption of a child.(2) Notwithstanding ORS 659A.165 (1), an eligible employee shall provide oral notice to the covered employer within 24 hours of the commencement of leave under this section, and must provide written notice to the employer within three days after the employee returns to work.
