Section 497.127 - Youth licenses

The State Fish and Wildlife Commission is authorized to issue, upon application, youth licenses for resident and nonresident persons at least 12 years of age and under 18 years of age and shall charge the applicable fee under the fee schedule in ORS 497.061. The youth license shall be equivalent to, and authorize the purchaser to engage in the activities authorized by, the following adult licenses:

(1) Resident annual hunting license;
(2) Resident annual angling license; and
(3) Resident annual shellfish license.

497.127 was added to and made a part of ORS chapter 497 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.

Section 22, chapter 779, Oregon Laws 2015, provides:

Sec. 22. The youth license under ORS 497.127 and the pioneer combination license under ORS 497.132 include authorization for the purchaser to engage in angling activities for which an endorsement to fish for salmon, steelhead or sturgeon in the Columbia Basin under ORS 496.146 is required. Section 8, chapter 169, Oregon Laws 2021, provides:

Sec. 8. Section 22, chapter 779, Oregon Laws 2015, is repealed on January 2, 2026. [2021 c. 169, § 8]
