Section 411.435 - Enrollment of medical assistance program clients; agreements with local governments

The Oregon Health Authority and the Department of Human Services shall endeavor to develop agreements with local governments to facilitate the enrollment of medical assistance program clients. Subject to the availability of funds therefor, the agreement shall be structured to allow flexibility by the state and local governments and may allow any of the following options for enrolling clients in medical assistance programs:

(1) Initial processing may be done at the local health department by employees of the local health department, with eligibility determination completed at the local office of the Department of Human Services or by the authority;
(2) Initial processing and eligibility determination may be done at the local health department by employees of the local health department; or
(3) Application forms may be made available at the local health department with initial processing and eligibility determination done at the local office of the Department of Human Services or by the authority.
