Section 358.450 - Election of first heritage district board(1) Five district board members shall be elected at the election for heritage district formation. Nominating petitions or declarations of candidacy described in ORS 249.031 shall be filed with the county governing body. The fee for a declaration of candidacy shall be as prescribed in ORS 255.235.(2) If the effective date of the formation of the district occurs in an odd-numbered year, two district board members shall be elected for four-year terms and the other three district board members shall be elected for two-year terms. If the effective date of the formation occurs in an even-numbered year, two district board members shall be elected for three-year terms and the other three district board members shall be elected for one-year terms.(3) Each district board member shall hold office until election and qualification of a successor.
