Section 293.227 - Definitions for ORS 293.227 to 293.233 As used in ORS 293.227 to 293.233, unless the context requires otherwise:
(1) "Payment" means a voluntary amount of money paid by a debtor to a state agency or an involuntary amount of money paid by a debtor through offset or garnishment.(2) "State agency" has the meaning given that term in ORS 293.226, except that it does not include the judicial department as defined in ORS 174.113, the legislative department as defined in ORS 174.114 or entities described in ORS 293.226 (7)(b).Amended by 2019 Ch. 278, § 15, eff. 1/1/2020.1999 c.1092 §1; 2001 c.104 §101293.227 to 293.233 were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 293 or any series therein by legislative action.
