Section 4141.293 - Participation in learn to earn program(A) As used in this section, "learn to earn program" means any program established by the department of job and family services that offers a structured, supervised training opportunity to an eligible unemployment compensation claimant with a designated worksite training provider.(B) Participation in a learn to earn program is voluntary.(C) If a learn to earn program participant is otherwise eligible for unemployment compensation benefits, the participant shall continue to receive unemployment compensation benefits pursuant to this chapter during participation in the program.(D) A participant in a learn to earn program shall be registered at an employment office or other registration place maintained or designated by the director of job and family services according to the procedure set forth in division (A)(3) of section 4141.29 of the Revised Code.(E) A learn to earn program participant may participate in a learn to earn program for a period not to exceed twenty-four hours a week for a maximum of six weeks.Added by 129th General Assembly, SB 316, §101.01, eff. 9/24/2012.
