Section 163.12 - View of premises - court may amend defect or informality in proceedings(A) A view of the premises to be appropriated or of premises appropriated shall be ordered by the court when requested by a party to the proceedings.(B) The property owners shall open and close the case except that, if the premises are appropriated under section 163.06, 307.08, 504.19, 6101.181, 6115.221, 6117.39, or 6119.11 of the Revised Code as the result of a public exigency, the party or parties other than the owners shall open and close the case.(C) The court may amend any defect or informality in proceedings under sections 163.01 to 163.22 of the Revised Code. The court may cause new parties to be added and direct further notice to be given to a party in interest as the court considers proper.(D) No part of the pleadings shall be read or exhibited to the jury.Effective Date: 1/1/1966; 5/6/2005; 2007 SB7 10/10/2007.
