Section 45-10.2-78 - Foreign limited partnership - Admission of foreign limited partnership -Transacting business - Obtaining licenses and permitsA foreign limited partnership may not:
1. Transact business in this state or obtain any license or permit required by this state until the foreign limited partnership obtains a certificate of authority from the secretary of state.2. Transact in this state any business that is prohibited to a limited partnership organized under this chapter.3. Be denied a certificate of authority because the laws of the jurisdiction of origin of the foreign limited partnership differ from the laws of this state.
