Section 18-13-10 - [Contingent Expiration - See Note] Local regulation

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, home rule charter, or ordinance made under a home rule charter, a political subdivision may not enact or enforce any ordinance or regulation conflicting with any provision of this chapter or with any policy of this state expressed by this chapter.

As provided by S.L. 2009, ch. 196, § 4, this section becomes ineffective on the date the State Fire Marshal certifies to the Legislative Council that a federal reduced cigarette ignition propensity standard has been adopted and has become effective.
