Section 10-32.1-03 - Legal recognition of electronic records and electronic signaturesFor purposes of this chapter:
1. A record or signature may not be denied legal effect or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form;2. A contract may not be denied legal effect or enforceability solely because an electronic record was used in its formation;3. If a provision requires a record to be in writing, then an electronic record satisfies the requirement; and4. If a provision requires a signature, then an electronic signature satisfies the requirement.Added by S.L. 2015, ch. 87 (HB 1136),§ 19, eff. 7/1/2015.
