If a trustee determines that an allocation between principal and income required by Section 409, 410, 411, 412 or 415 [46-3A-409, 46-3A-410, 46-3A-411, 46-3A-412 or 46-3A-415 NMSA 1978] is insubstantial, the trustee may allocate the entire amount to principal unless one of the circumstances described in Section 104(c) [46-3A-104 NMSA 1978] applies to the allocation. This power may be exercised by a cotrustee in the circumstances described in Section 104(d) and may be released for the reasons and in the manner described in Section 104(e).
