Section 52:27D-401 - Powers of community action agencyA community action agency shall have the following powers:
b. To implement and administer community action programs;c. To enter into any agreement or contract with any public, private nonprofit or profit-making agency or organization to assist in fulfilling the agency's purposes and functions;d. To receive and accept, from any public or private source, funds or real or personal property;e. To appoint and employ personnel as deemed necessary;f. To transfer funds and delegate powers to other organizations or agencies, as permitted by its community action board;g. To carry out any requirement or power permitted by federal law; andh. To take such other steps as may be necessary or appropriate to provide assistance or benefits to the low-income community it serves.
