Section 38A:12-6 - Sale of surplus property

When any buildings and real property have been declared by the Adjutant General to be surplus or unsuitable for military or veterans' purposes and their sale has been authorized by the governor, the Adjutant General, on behalf of the State, is authorized to convey such buildings and real property to the county or municipality in which the same are situate, or to other purchasers, at such price and upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the State House Commission.

Furthermore, if it will not interfere with or impair military or veterans' activities, the Adjutant General, on behalf of the State, may convey an easement to the county or municipality in which the land is situated or to a public utility company organized under Title 48 of the Revised Statutes at such price and upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the State House Commission.
