Section 26:2H-18.34 - Annual audit of hospital's uncompensated carea. The department shall annually provide for an audit of each hospital's uncompensated care within a time frame established by rules and regulations adopted by the commissioner.b. Prior to the department's final approval of the audit, the results of the audit shall be reviewed with the hospital. If a hospital disputes an audit adjustment, the hospital may appeal the adjustment to the commission. The commission shall resolve the dispute within 90 calendar days of the date on which the hospital appealed the adjustment.c. Upon receipt and acceptance of the final audit, the commission, within 90 calendar days, shall adjust a hospital's schedule of rates so that the rates reflect the audit adjustment.
