Section 26:2-184.2 - Establishment of public awareness campaigna. The Commissioner of Health shall establish a public awareness campaign to inform the general public about the clinical significance of ovarian cancer and its public health implications. The campaign shall include, at a minimum, risk factors, symptoms, the need for early detection, and methods of treatment.b. The commissioner shall, at a minimum: (1) provide for the development of printed educational materials and public service announcements in English and Spanish; and(2) disseminate information for distribution to the public, through a variety of entities, including, but not limited to, local health agencies and clinics, physicians, health care facilities, county offices on aging, pharmacies, libraries, senior citizen centers, other community-based outreach programs and organizations, and the Department of Health's official website.Amended by L. 2012, c. 17,s. 138, eff. 6/29/2012.Added by L. 2011, c. 155,s. 2, eff. 1/5/2012.
