Section 17:32-17 - DefinitionsThe following terms whenever used or referred to in this act shall have the following respective meanings, except in those instances where the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(a) The term "commissioner" shall mean the Commissioner of Banking and Insurance.(b) The term "insurer" shall mean any person, association or corporation engaged in the transaction of the business of insurance, a shall include, without limitation, interinsurance exchanges and mutual benefit societies.
