N.H. Rev. Stat. § 329:16-c

A licensee who does not intend to engage in such licensed profession in this state, upon written request to the office of professional licensure and certification, may have one's name transferred to inactive status and shall not be required to renew such license or pay any renewal fee as long as the person remains inactive.
