Section 687C.030 - Policy of State relating to opting out of certain uniform standards; notice by Commissioner to Legislature upon determination or finding requiring opting out of standard1. It is the policy of this State to opt out of and the Commissioner of Insurance shall by regulation opt out of any uniform standard adopted by the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission which provides less protection than a law of this State or otherwise diminishes the rights of policyholders and persons applying for a policy of insurance in this State.2. Upon determining, or upon becoming aware of a finding of a court of competent jurisdiction which found, that this State must opt out of a uniform standard pursuant to subsection 1, the Commissioner shall provide to the Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau for transmittal to the next regular session of the Legislature notice of such determination or finding.Added to NRS by 2011, 532; A 2013, 3357Amended by 2013, Ch. 511,§9, eff. 10/1/2013.Added to NRS by 2011, 532
