Section 670B.650 - Powers of Commissioner related to conducting examinations and investigations, sharing resources, documents, records, information and evidence and standardizing methods and proceduresTo carry out the purposes of this chapter, the Commissioner may:
1. Retain attorneys, accountants or other professionals and specialists as examiners, auditors or investigators to conduct or assist in the conduct of examinations or investigations;2. Enter into agreements or relationships with other governmental officials or regulatory associations to improve efficiency and reduce any regulatory burden by sharing resources, standardizing or making uniform any applicable methods or procedures and sharing documents, records, information or evidence obtained pursuant to this chapter;3. Use, hire, contract or employ publicly or privately available analytical systems, methods or software to examine or investigate a student loan servicer or other person under examination or investigation;4. Accept and rely on examination or investigation reports made by other governmental officials, within or outside this State; and5. Accept audit reports made by an independent certified public accountant for a student loan servicer or other person under examination or investigation in the course of that part of the examination covering the same general subject matter as the audit and may incorporate the audit report in any report of examination, report of investigation or other writing of the Commissioner.Added to NRS by 2023, 2873Added by 2023, Ch. 466,§41, eff. 1/1/2024.
