Section 539.183 - Result of recall election: Successor elected or vacancy in office created1. If there are other candidates nominated to be voted for at the special election, the candidate who receives the highest number of votes at the special election shall be deemed elected for the remainder of the term, whether it is the person against whom the recall petition was filed or another.2.
