Section 490.500 - Penalty for knowingly providing certain false information relating to title or security interest or for not submitting report of sale or lease within time prescribed Any person is guilty of a gross misdemeanor who knowingly:
1. Makes or causes to be made any false entry on any certificate of origin or certificate of title for an off-highway vehicle;2. Furnishes or causes to be furnished false information to the Department concerning any security interest; or3. Fails to submit or causes to not be submitted the original of the off-highway vehicle dealer's or long-term lessor's report of sale or lease, together with the certificate of title or certificate of ownership issued for a new or used off-highway vehicle to the Department within the time prescribed by regulation adopted by the Department.Added to NRS by 2009, 3101; A 2011, 292(Added to NRS by 2009, 3101; A 2011, 292, effective 7/1/2012, or 30 days after the Department of Motor Vehicles publishes on its website a statement that it has completed the preparatory tasks that are necessary to begin registration of off)-(highway vehicles, whichever is sooner)
