Section 459.470 - Department designated as state agency for regulation of hazardous waste1. The Department is hereby designated to act as the state agency for the purposes of federal laws and regulations on hazardous waste, except that the Commission has the exclusive power to adopt regulations pursuant to NRS 459.400 to 459.600, inclusive.2.
