Section 427A.NEW - [Newly enacted section not yet numbered] [Actions necessary to carry out duties]The Committee may take any action necessary to carry out its duties, including, without limitation:
1. Consulting with experts and other interested persons to ensure the data collected is of the highest quality;2. Entering into a contract or other agreement with any person or entity, including, without limitation, a college or university, to:(a) Assist the Committee with its organization and meetings;(b) Collect, analyze and disseminate information; or(c) Assist in carrying out any other duty of the Committee;3. Establishing subcommittees consisting of members of the Committee; and4. Employing such persons as it deems necessary to carry out its duties.Added by 2023, Ch. 502,§11, eff. 7/1/2023, app. only to a contract entered into between the Department of Health and Human Services and a district attorney on or after 7/1/2023.
