Section 396.157 - No-contact directive1. An institution within the System may issue a no-contact directive prohibiting the complainant and the respondent from contacting each other. An institution may issue a no-contact directive if the directive is necessary to, without limitation: (a) Protect the safety or well-being of either the complainant or the respondent; or(b) Respond to interference with an investigation.2. A no-contact directive issued against the respondent after a decision of responsibility, if any, has been made must be mutually applied to the complainant and the respondent.3. If an institution issues a mutual no-contact directive, the institution shall provide the complainant and the respondent with an explanation of the terms of the directive, including, without limitation, that a violation of the directive may subject the party to disciplinary action.Added to NRS by 2021, 3682Added by 2021, Ch. 542,§24.9, eff. 7/1/2021.
